Connect Stripe
Audience: Shop owner (Admin) Time: 5 minutes
If your customers pay you through Stripe (Stripe invoices, Checkout or payment links), connect your Stripe account to an envoice shop. Each successful payment becomes an LHDN e-invoice, and each refund becomes a credit note. Money still flows only between your customer and your Stripe account; envoice reads the payment events it needs to file.
1. Connect your Stripe account
- In envoice, open Settings > Integrations and find the Stripe card ("File LHDN e-invoices automatically for payments in your own Stripe account").
- Click Connect Stripe.
- Stripe asks you to sign in and choose the account to connect. Approve the access.
- You return to envoice and the card shows Connected. If you connected a Stripe test account, it also shows Test mode.

The envoice shop needs its own LHDN credentials before anything reaches LHDN. See Start in the demo shop and go live.
2. Choose auto-submit
The Auto-submit e-invoices switch on the card:
- Auto-submit on: a paid Stripe invoice is filed to MyInvois automatically.
- Auto-submit off: each one waits for you to review and submit it.
What gets filed
- Paid Stripe invoices.
- Payments without a Stripe invoice: completed Checkout sessions and successful payments. A Checkout payment that settles later (for example online banking) is filed once it is actually paid, and is never filed twice.
- Refunds are filed as credit notes against the original e-invoice. Each partial refund gets its own credit note.
- Other currencies are converted correctly from Stripe's amounts.
Buyers with a TIN
To issue an e-invoice in the buyer's name, record their Malaysian tax ID on the Stripe customer. envoice uses the customer's my_itn tax ID (the LHDN TIN) first, then any other Malaysian tax ID on the customer. Payments without one are filed as general public sales.
Disconnect
Click Disconnect on the Stripe card and confirm. Paid invoices are no longer filed to MyInvois until you reconnect. Filed e-invoices stay in envoice.
This connection is for payments in your own business's Stripe account. It is separate from how you pay for your envoice plan.
