Submission failed or stuck in Submitting

A Failed document did not reach LHDN, usually because of a network problem or an LHDN outage. It is different from Rejected, where LHDN received the document and refused it.

How a submission moves

Failed: envoice retries for you

When a document fails, envoice retries it automatically every hour, up to 5 times, for documents created in the last 24 hours. The document page shows the progress, for example "Retrying automatically (2/5)".

What you can do:

  1. Wait. Most failures are short LHDN or network outages, and the next retry succeeds.
  2. Fix it now. If you think the failure is caused by the document itself, click Fix & resubmit, correct it and submit.
  3. When retries stop. After 5 attempts the page shows "Automatic retries stopped". Fix the issue and resubmit manually, or click Send to support under the error.

envoice does not retry a document LHDN refused for a validation reason. Retrying it would fail the same way every time, so you need to fix it. See Why was my document rejected?.

The shop owner gets one email per failed document, not one per retry.

Stuck in Submitting

Submitting means envoice is sending the document right now. It normally lasts a few seconds. Lists and the dashboard refresh by themselves while a submission is in flight.

If a document stays in Submitting for more than a few minutes:

  1. Reload the page.
  2. If it shows a Refresh LHDN status button, click it. That asks LHDN directly for the current status.
  3. If there is no LHDN UUID and the status does not change, do not create the sale again. Email [email protected] with the document number, so we can check whether it reached LHDN before anything is filed twice.

Many documents failing at once

If several documents fail together, check that your LHDN credentials are still valid. An expired Client Secret stops every submission. See LHDN credentials not working.
