Manage saved customers

Audience: All users (SME) Time: 2 minutes

Save your regular customers once, then pick them when you create an invoice instead of retyping their details every time. It is the same idea as your product catalog, but for the people you bill.

1. Open Customers

Open the account menu (your profile picture, top right) and click Customers. You can also press Ctrl / Cmd + K and search for "Customers".

The Customers page

2. Add a customer

Click + New customer. Fill in:

  • Name: the business or person you invoice.
  • ID type and ID value: BRN for a company (the 12-digit SSM number), or NRIC / Passport / Army for an individual.
  • TIN: their LHDN tax identification number.
  • Optionally email, phone, and address.

Click Save.

3. Import a whole list (optional)

If you already have a list of customers, you do not need to add them one by one. On the New customer screen, click Download template, fill it in, then drop the file (CSV or Excel) onto the upload area.

The columns are: name, id type, id value, tin, email, phone, address, city, postcode, state, country. Re-importing the same list updates existing customers (matched by TIN) instead of creating duplicates.

4. Pick a customer when invoicing

Create a new invoice (+ New document). In the Buyer section, tick Buyer wants individual e-invoice, then start typing the customer's name or TIN in the search box. Your saved customers appear with a Saved badge, pick one and the buyer details fill in automatically.

Picking a saved customer in the invoice buyer search

envoice also remembers buyers from your past invoices automatically, so both your saved customers and anyone you have invoiced before show up in the same search.
