Create and submit an invoice in envoice
Audience: All users (SME) Time: 3 minutes
You can create an e-invoice directly in the envoice portal and submit it to LHDN MyInvois, no Zoho needed.
Watch the full flow above, or follow the steps below.
1. Open the new invoice form
Click + New document (top right), or go to Documents → New invoice. You land on the New invoice form.

2. Choose the document type
At the top, pick the document type:
- Standard Invoice , a normal sale to a customer (document type 01).
- Self-Billed Invoice , you issue on a supplier's behalf (document type 11).

For a normal sale, keep Standard Invoice.

3. Add line items
Under Line items, type to search your catalog, or click Browse. For each line set the description, quantity, price, and classification (the LHDN code; it auto-fills). Click + Add line for more rows. The Summary on the right updates the total live.

4. Set the buyer
- Leave Buyer wants individual e-invoice unticked for a walk-in / cash sale , it's bundled into your monthly consolidated invoice as General Public.
- Tick it to enter a specific buyer. The buyer fields appear: TIN, Name, ID type/value (with Lookup TIN), phone, email, and address. For a general-public buyer you can use NA where prompted.

5. Choose payment method, then submit
Pick the payment method (e.g. Cash), then click Pay & submit (top right). envoice builds the document, signs it, and sends it to LHDN.

6. Done
Within seconds the status updates to VALIDATED with a UUID and QR code. The document detail page shows everything , summary, buyer, line items, and the audit trail.

A General Public (no-TIN) sale uses LHDN classification 004 automatically , the only code allowed for anonymous buyers.
