Print the MyInvois QR on your Zoho CRM invoices

Audience: Shop owner (Admin) Time: 10 minutes, once

You can share an invoice with your buyer in your own format, as long as the MyInvois QR code is on it. Your buyer scans the QR to check the e-invoice on MyInvois.

envoice fills two fields on every invoice LHDN validates:

  • envoice MyInvois QR Link: the MyInvois link of the e-invoice.
  • envoice MyInvois QR Image: a picture of the QR code for that link, for your invoice template.

Add the QR to your invoice template once. Every validated invoice then prints its own QR.

Before you start

  • envoice connected to Zoho CRM. See Connect Zoho CRM to envoice.
  • Your invoices have the field envoice MyInvois QR Image. If they do not, your envoice extension is older than the QR image. Email [email protected] for the latest install link and update the extension, then ask your shop owner to click Sync custom fields on the Zoho CRM invoices card in envoice.

1. Copy the snippet from envoice

In envoice, open Zoho Integration. On the Zoho CRM invoices card, open MyInvois QR on your invoice PDF and copy the snippet.

The snippet prints the QR, and under it the MyInvois UUID. envoice writes your Zoho CRM's own field names into it, so copy it from envoice, not from this page.

2. Open your invoice template

  1. In Zoho CRM, open Setup, then Customization, then Templates, then Inventory.
  2. Open the Invoices tab. Click the template you use, or click New Template to start from one of Zoho's designs.

3. Paste the snippet

  1. In the template editor, click where the QR should go, for example beside the totals or in the footer.
  2. Click Edit HTML (the </> button).
  3. Paste the snippet, then click Insert.

The QR line of the snippet looks like this:

<img src="${Invoices.envoice MyInvois QR Image}" width="100" height="100" alt="MyInvois QR">

Paste it through Edit HTML. The editor's image button does not work for the QR: it cannot take a field, so the picture stays broken.

Keep the QR at least 2 cm wide. A smaller QR is hard to scan.

4. Save and check

  1. Click Save. To use it for every invoice, set it as your default invoice template.
  2. Open an invoice that the envoice panel shows as Validated, then click Print Preview, or export it to PDF.
  3. Scan the QR with your phone. It opens the e-invoice on MyInvois.

If the QR is missing

  • The invoice is not validated yet. The QR spot stays empty until the envoice panel shows Validated. Print or send the invoice after that. A PDF made before that has no QR.
  • The invoice was validated before envoice added the QR image. In envoice, open Zoho Integration and click Sync MyInvois fields once. envoice fills the QR image on every validated invoice.
  • You reinstalled the envoice extension. Zoho CRM removes the envoice fields and their values when the extension is uninstalled. After you connect again, click Sync MyInvois fields once to fill them back.
  • The invoice is in the monthly consolidated e-invoice. It gets no QR image. The consolidated e-invoice covers all of the month's walk-in sales, so its QR does not go on one buyer's invoice. Its link stays in envoice MyInvois QR Link for your records.

Do not edit the envoice MyInvois fields yourself. envoice writes them.
