Stripe sales filed with the real payment mode
Shipped: 28 September 2026.
What changed
Before this fix, every Stripe payment was filed with your shop's default payment mode. A shop whose default was Cash filed card and wallet payments as Cash.
envoice now reads how each Stripe payment was actually made and files the matching LHDN payment mode:
| Stripe payment | LHDN payment mode |
|---|---|
| Credit card | 04 |
| Debit or prepaid card | 05 |
| FPX | 03 |
| GrabPay | 06 |
| Anything else | Your shop default |
Card payments include Apple Pay, Google Pay and Tap to Pay, filed by the card behind them. If envoice cannot look up the payment, it falls back to your shop default.
Who it affects
Shops that file sales from a connected Stripe account.
What to do
Nothing for new sales. For e-invoices filed before 28 September 2026 with the wrong payment mode, ask your accountant whether a correction is needed.
